The Garden of a Thousand Years
Wander through The Garden of a Thousand Years, an immersive art installation of luscious hanging plants.
Working with the Parramatta community, the artists have created over 1000 hanging plants potted in recycled plastic bottles.
Inspired by the fact that just one plastic bottle can take up to one thousand years to break down in landfill, the installation highlights the importance of upcycling for environmental sustainability. The Garden of a Thousand Years is filled with new life - the plants clean the air, produce food, create joy and improve the spaces we inhabit. Supported by Oasis Horticulture and Visy Recycling, this project is a NSW EPA Waste Less, Recycle More Initiative funded from the waste levy.
Location: Red Cow Lane - Parramatta NSW
