MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER AND GARDEN SHOW 2011

March 30, 2011

Colour is one of the easiest ways to create different moods your garden.

The Oasis Garden (site number A50) is a celebration of the effective use of colour throughout the garden.

In the vegetable patch silvery alliums and glossy green cabbages are contrasted with russet leafed Mustard and Mizuna.

See fabulous ready-to-harvest Brussels Sprouts and Tuscan Kale and enormous healthy Savoy and Sugar Bowl Cabbages.

In the herb garden you'll discover a variety of culinary, tea and pet-friendly herbs including including silver foliaged Green Globe Artichokes, Silvery Posy Thyme and Curry Plant.  Our garden includes a luscious display of Curly Parsley planted in a Mobiwall, just perfect for small space gardens.

A curving path leads past a wealth of regal purple and rich red flowers into our information area providing views into a secret garden.

Designed by Vivid Design and landscaped by Semken Landscaping, the Oasis Garden provides show visitors a great opportunity to discover new gardening ideas and to talk to horticultural experts about solutions for their very own backyards.

For more information about the plants on show or for electronic copies of our brochures on vegetable and flower gardening visit the Fact Sheets section of the website. Alternatively, take a peek at our online picture gallery.
