Oasis Dishes Up The Dirt On Successful Gardening

March 24, 2010

MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FLOWER AND GARDEN SHOW 24th - 28th March 2010

Oasis Horticulture is going even more 'grass roots' this year with a garden display at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show that showcases the humble, but very real pleasures, of growing your own herbs, vegetables and flowers.

The display demonstrates various phases of plant growth from the initial seedling stage right through to full maturity together with some great ideas for using the products of your labour around the kitchen and home.

With increasing demand for actionable and achievable information about how to get the most rewards for your efforts, particularly in productive gardens, this year's garden design aims to illustrate and inspire.

Information such as seasonal timings for planting and harvesting of different crop types, the virtues of succession plantings and the kinds of plants that grow well together will be highlighted. We fully expect to see our visitors to the display with pens and paper out taking notes!

Featuring the gorgeous annual and perennial colour OasisĀ® is famous for, raised beds brimming with produce and even a walk-in kitchen element to set the scene, we know that gardeners will be motivated to fill their gardens with OasisĀ® seedlings.

You can visit the Oasis garden at site number A48. Check out our show fact sheets for more details.
