Oasis Horticulture Supports Sydney Royal Easter Show Gardening Exhibit
April 20, 2010
Oasis Horticulture joined the Nursery and Garden Industry of NSW and ACT (NGINA), the Landscape Contractors Association, the Australian Institute of Landscape Design and Management, other wholesale nurseries and students from Padstow TAFE to create a series of gardens at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
By communicating the NGINA message ‘Life is a Garden’ the exhibit fitted naturally into the show’s overall theme of ‘The Great Aussie Backyard’ for outdoor Flower and Garden exhibition section.
Lush, advanced, Oasis vegetable and herb plants filled corrugated tank bed gardens which showed visitors just how easy it is to create a great display in their own backyards.
The tank bed gardens showcased a seductive fusion of colours, textures and flavours. Some of the stars of the show included Tuscan Kale with its fascinating corrugated foliage; long, neat trusses of bite-sized Tomatoberry™ fruit framed by the newly released Multi-Cut Lettuce.
Oasis Sales Representatives, Rebecca and Tina encouraged visitors to the stand to sample Pineapple Sage flowers, a sweet and unusual addition to any salad. They and others manning the display were kept busy with loads of questions about gardening and the plants and products on display. The high level of interest shown in the herb and vegetable beds reinforces the ongoing trend towards ‘growing your own’.
