SPRING ONION NON BULB FORMING

Allium cepa

Spring Onion is grown for its nutritious green leaves and small soft bulbs which can be used in salads, sandwiches and hot dishes.

  • Growing Tip: Spring Onions are ideal for containers, but are easily grown in a sunny, well drained spot. Can be grown all year.
  • Position: Full sun
  • Height / Spacing: 2-3cm apart, in rows 20-30cm apart.
  • Lifespan: Annual
  • Planting Time: Spring, Summer (Sept-Dec)
  • Harvest: 8-10 weeks after planting if growing from seedlings.
